I'm Jiashuo Meng from DE1, and I'm excited to announce my candidacy for Treasurer. With a knack for smart spending and a commitment to fueling our creative missions, I aim to ensure every penny propels our society’s success.

Why Me?
As someone with sharp financial sensitivity, I’ve honed my budget management skills through hands-on experience. For instance, I redesigned the budget for my high school’s New Year celebration by renegotiating vendor contracts and optimizing schedules, slashing costs by 25%. This not only kept the event transparent but also allowed us to surprise every classmate with extra gifts—proving that strategic finance unlocks bigger possibilities.

My Three Pledges:

Full Financial Transparency

Publish monthly visual reports (think infographics, not spreadsheets!) to track every pound spent on events.
Embed a live feedback form in each report so YOU can shape spending priorities in real time.

Maximizing Resources

Build a Supplier Alliance Network—negotiate group discounts with local vendors and diversify partnerships for better deals.
Launch a "Green & Lean" initiative to cut waste and redirect savings toward member perks (like free workshop materials!).

Innovative Collaboration

Roll out Creativity-to-Cash projects: Host member-led merch design contests (profits fund future events!) and skill-swap workshops.
Partner with event teams to create a flexible "Rainy Day Fund for spontaneous opportunities (like last-minute guest speakers!).
