Iris Wang

Hi! I’m Iris, a first-year Earth and Planetary Science student! I’m running for ESoc Campaigns Manager because want to get more students involved in sustainability at Imperial, especially with the Plant-Based Universities campaign and increasing vegan and vegetarian options on campus. I have experience organising events with a similar society in high school, where I co-led the sustainability committee for two years. I was in charge of planning second-hand school uniform and book sales, meeting with school officials to discuss sustainable initiatives, and organizing a school food summit that led to three major lunch caterers adding plant-based dishes to their menus. I know lots of people are interested in sustainability but don’t always have time to fully commit, so I’d love to get more general society members involved in helping out with initiatives!
