Moving thousands of kilometres away from home is a daunting experience. However, by immersing myself in ICUMS and its events like MNight, I’ve found a supportive community that feels like home. ICUMS has provided invaluable networking opportunities with inspiring individuals, shaping my career aspirations. My experience as an executive counsellor at UKEC has allowed me to professionally engage with companies like Shell, PwC, and RHB, contributing to the department’s success in securing a platinum event sponsorship from Affin Bank. I hope to leverage these experiences to bridge the gap between Malaysian students, sponsors, and ultimately enhance the employability of ICUMS members.
I aim to strengthen ICUMS’s external relations through three key pillars: sponsors, alumni, and opportunities & outreach.

Sponsors: Maintain consistent communication with sponsors through termly reports and tailored deliverables, upgrade sponsor tier lists with enhanced benefits, and diversify partnerships to include more STEM-based companies.

Alumni: Establish an alumni database, foster stronger ties through networking dinners, mentorship programmes, and collaborative talks with ICAAM members.

Opportunities & Outreach: Boost LinkedIn engagement, introduce monthly events calendars, invite prominent public figures to Imperial, and improve participation from seniors through exclusive sponsor-led workshops and fast-track opportunities.
