Hi everyone!
My name is Kamilla, and I’m a second-year Civil Engineering student with a passion for finance and consulting. I’m running for the role of Treasurer at Women in Business Society because I truly enjoyed this year’s events—especially the office visits and panel discussions—and I want to contribute to making them even better.
I’m passionate about building strong relationships with industry representatives to maximize sponsorship opportunities and create valuable experiences for our members.
Through my leadership experience as a Departmental Representative, I’ve developed strong communication skills and the ability to gather and act on feedback effectively. Additionally, my work as an Associate at the Consulting Society, where I helped implement expansion strategies, has equipped me with the skills needed to serve as Treasurer.
If elected, I will focus on:
- Expanding outreach beyond banks to consultancies, hedge funds, and startups to secure more sponsorships and establish long-term partnerships for office visits and insight events.
- Ensuring transparent budget allocation by providing an overview at the start of each term to maximize funding for subsidized events.
- Financial initiatives/lectures on how to manage money as a student
