Akshat Sharma

Hi, I’m Akshat and I’m running for the position of Publicity Officer for the Sports and exercise Medicine Society. I first discovered the Sports Medicine Society in my first year through their presence in WhatsApp group chats, and since then, my interest in the field has only grown. I’m excited to help expand the society’s reach by increasing its visibility and attracting more members through both WhatsApp and Instagram. As a first-team player for IC Badminton, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to our social media posts and grow the club helping us to reach over 1500 followers and I think this experience would help me a lot as publicity officer for SEM.

If elected, I plan to promote our workshops and events throughout the university showcasing the valuable work we do and encouraging more students to explore the idea of pursuing sports and exercise medicine.

My goal is to create a stronger, more engaged society, where students are excited to participate and contribute. Through strategic publicity efforts, I aim to grow the club, enhance its presence, and ensure more students benefit from the resources and opportunities the society offers.
