Women in Business: Vice President

Hi! I’m Tanya Gracias, a second-year Biochemistry student and a dedicated member of the Women in Business society. As an active member of the Women in Business, Finance, and Investment societies, I’ve gained valuable insights into how other societies operate, allowing me to identify ways to differentiate ourselves and provide even greater value to Women in Business members.

As Vice President, I will:

  • Expand partnerships with industry organizations – Leverage my involvement with GAIN (Girls Are Investors) to strengthen collaborations with external organizations to increase mentorship, internship, and networking opportunities. For example, GAIN runs insight days and a summer internship placement scheme which connects participants with top firms in the UK.
  • Increase engagement through eventsIntroduce an annual International Women’s Day Dinner, along with fun events (pilates, pottery, and more!) and socials to create a strong, connected community.
  • Collaborate with other societies – Work with the Investment, Consulting, and Finance societies to co-host networking events, speaker panels, and career fairs, ensuring members gain exposure across industries.
  • Enhance networking and recruitment opportunities – Partner with top firms to host industry-specific panels, case competitions, and coffee chats, providing members with direct access to employers and professional development opportunities.

I am committed to making Women in Business an even more supportive and resourceful society. I would love the opportunity to bring these ideas to life. Vote for me as your next Vice President!
