Endocrinology: Secretary

Hi, I'm Durga, a 3rd year medic, and I would love to be your next secretary!

Like a lot of us at Imperial, my interest in endocrinology started from great teaching by faculty. Attending the endocrinology conference last year also gave me my first look into research in the field. Since then, I've developed a genuine passion for reproductive endocrinology and hope to keep exploring it, which is why I’d love to get more involved in the society this year.

In my time as a care assistant during my gap year, organisation and time management skills were crucial in managing patient records, coordinating care schedules, and communicating with the team in a timely manner. As Secretary, this would translate into me keeping accurate meeting minutes, handling sensitive data, planning ahead for society events, and ensuring smooth administrative processes – tasks that I think I’m already prepared to handle well.

I believe communication between members, the committee, and other collaborators/organisations is crucial. If elected, I would introduce a shared calendar to help the committee work cohesively, and maintain transparency with members through regular newsletters. That way, I would be keeping you all informed of society updates and increase event engagement.

My skills and passion for endocrinology make me the ideal candidate to work as part of a team, proactively introducing positive changes that contribute to the society’s growth. I would really appreciate your vote! Thank you :)
