Zach Cox

Hi, I'm Zach (3rd year med) and I would love to be your Academic Officer next year!! I've known some great academic officers in this and other societies over the last three years, and I think it's remarkable what a difference their work makes in how supported students feel. I would love to think I'm an approachable and academically driven person, which I believe are key attributes for the role. I've also had plenty of experience in other committee positions with a heavy focus on organisation, such as managing ICSM Orchestra, which will have prepared me well for the logistical aspects of this role. Having done many many hours of tutoring, I believe I have a pretty good understanding of what effective education entails – so I will hopefully be working together closely with guest lecturers and speakers to make sure you aren't just sitting through dry slideshows in Endo tutorials. And I promise I'm not trying to bribe you guys😭but as someone who has been involved in writing a meta-analysis I may have some tips and resources that might make getting into research easier :)

All in all, I hope the experiences and attributes I offer will make me someone who can perform effectively and give you guys the kind of academic support and resources I hope you'll appreciate. I would be very grateful for your votes !!
