Ian Chan

Pathology: Vice President

Pathology is the cornerstone of modern medicine, yet it often lacks visibility in medical education. As Vice President, I aim to change this by making pathology more engaging, accessible, and relevant to students at all stages.

With four years of experience as an educator and a strong background in leadership and research, I bring the skills to enhance our society’s impact. Completing an internship at Prince of Wales Hospital's Pathology Department has deepened my appreciation for pathology’s role in clinical practice and innovation.

If elected, I will:
Expand Educational Events – Case-based discussions, OSCE prep, and expert-led talks.
Bridge Clinical & Laboratory Medicine – Collaborate with other societies to highlight pathology’s role in various specialties.
Improve Career Guidance – Mentorship, networking, and Q&A sessions with pathologists.
Innovate Engagement – Quizzes, podcasts, and social media content to make learning fun.

I am committed to strengthening the society’s educational and career support initiatives while fostering an inclusive and dynamic community. Vote Ian Chan for Vice President – Let’s make pathology more accessible and exciting!
