Hari Prabhu
Hi everyone! My name is Hari, and I am a third-year medical student running for Head of Outreach for the Cardiovascular Society.
Having gone through my placements in cardiology, I have developed a deep-rooted passion and a commitment to advancing knowledge in this field. I aspire to push the society to new heights of excellence and innovation, and some of my outreach ideas include:
-
Reaching out to top professors and doctors to ensure the cardiovascular conferences are held to a high standard.
-
Collaborating with the sponsorship officer to develop relationships with sponsors, and building a strong supportive network for the society.
-
Helping with tutorials on cardiology topics for early-year students and reaching out to societies to organise collaborative mock CPAs and OSCEs.
-
Implementing a journal club where members can hear from researchers about their work and the latest research.
-
Starting a guest speaker series that would serve as career guidance for members.
I believe I am well-suited to the role, having developed communication, teamwork, and organisation skills as Deputy BMA Rep this year. This year, as Secretary of Indian Society & SORA, I gained experience managing logistics and coordinating events, and as part of SORA, I chaired an intercalated PhD conference, furthering my experience in organising large-scale events, reaching out to and inviting top researchers, and collaborating with others.
Thank you so much for your support!
