Vaishaanth Nagaraj
Hi everyone, I’m Vaishaanth, and I’m running to be your Head of Events for the Cardiovascular Society!
Cardiology has been a huge interest of mine, from my out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) research project to my wet lab research on cardiovascular disease. Through these experiences, I’ve seen how vital research and networking are in shaping a career in cardiology, and I want to bring more of these opportunities to students.
What I want to do as Head of Events:
1. Host a research networking session – A chance to connect with cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons, helping students find research projects and career advice.
2. Run a “Cardiology in Action” case-based teaching series – Interactive sessions where cardiologists walk students through real-life cases, from symptoms to diagnosis and management. Topics will include acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and heart failure, providing a more engaging way to learn cardiology beyond standard lectures.
I want to make sure Cardiology Society provides valuable, engaging events that help students explore their interests and get involved in research. If that sounds good to you, I’d love your support!
