Mohammed Elseddig
I am Mohammed Elseddig, a third-year medical student.
Over the last three years at Imperial I have been very fortunate in my clinical rotations. I was lucky enough to have cardiology rotations in two separate years at different hospitals, and a rotation in cardiothoracic surgery at Hammersmith Hospital. Not only has this given me great exposure to the day-to-days of clinical cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, but I have also been able to network extensively with clinicians in these fields. Some of whom have received PhDs from Imperial, and others have managed to secure training posts despite the competitive climate around these specialties. I hope that as Head of Research & Education, I can use this network that I have built to organise teaching sessions and source opportunities for the society that would otherwise be difficult to find.
