Daniel Sanmuganathan

Hello! I’m Daniel, and I am running to be your Year 1/2 Representative!

After going to the ICSM X UCL Cardiovascular Conference 2025, as well as hosting a tutorial for ICSM Cardiovascular Society earlier this year, I am highly interested in cardiology and would love to be involved in the educational aspect of this society. As Co-President of Endocrinology Society, I have assisted in organising an upcoming conference with UCL Endocrinology Society, as well as contacting several speakers, and assisting in making tutorials. I have also hosted a talk for MedEd earlier this year, further enhancing my teaching experience.

My aims as Year 1/2 Representative:

• Create a student-led lecture series, covering pre-clinical content in a simplified, understandable way for future 1^st and 2^nd year students to learn from.
• Branch out to create a similar teaching series for clinical years, to further benefit students, and aim to involve experienced doctors.
• Assist with the continuation of the National Cardiology Teaching Series, reaching out to speakers and helping with publicity.

I believe my skills in time management, communication, and background in teaching will enable me to excel in this role.
