I’m Salik, and I’m excited to run for Treasurer of the MedTech Society!
Let’s be honest—big ideas need big funding, and I’m here to make sure the MedTech Society has the money to go BIG. Whether it’s top-tier workshops, conferences or career’s fair where you can network with industry leaders to gain insight into a world MORE than just medicine, I’ll make sure our budget works for us, not against us.
If you vote for me, I’ll aim to:
- Keep the budget in check. No reckless spending, no last-minute panic. Just a well-structured budget that keeps our events running smoothly without breaking the bank.
- Secure sponsorships – Using my experience from Imperial ISoc CW Sponsorships, I’ll lock in long-term partnerships with MedTech companies, startups, and alumni to keep our funding strong.
- Negotiate discounts on equipment and refreshments, making sure we stretch every pound to the max.
- Have quarterly financial reports so you always know where the money’s going (spoiler: not on overpriced biscuits).
- Push for funding to subsidise hackathon tickets, set up networking nights, and support student-led MedTech projects.
