Daniel Sherkawi

Dear future plastic surgeons! My name is Daniel, you may have seen me at multiple conferences (I was the charming and funny one). I'm incredibly excited to announce my candidacy for secretary of IPRAS (please hold your applause)!

I believe the role of secretary is so much more than just sending emails and setting up meetings, it's about ensuring the society runs smoothly and that all members feel both included and informed. As an avid member of IPRAS I have attended several conferences, all so insightful and engaging. My job will not only be upholding these standards, but elevating them, ensuring that communication between committee and members is as efficient as possible, in hopes of encouraging greater participation.

Now you may be thinking to yourself, 'why should I vote for Daniel?' A great question indeed. This role requires strong organisational and administrative skills which I have developed through my experience as a volunteer at the British Heart Foundation, where I helped facilitate meetings. I will proactively communicate with members with timely updates, so that everyone is kept in the loop about upcoming events and opportunities to get involved.

IPRAS is one of the best societies at ICSM, and I truly believe so. You deserve a Secretary who will perform to the best of their abilities. You deserve a Secretary who will get things done.
