Sharika Thayaparan

Hello Bakers !!

I’m Sharika Thayaparan, a second-year Bioengineering student and the current Treasurer of our society. This past year has been an incredible experience. I’ve loved organizing events for you all and getting to meet some truly amazing people along the way.

Bake Soc has been the most wholesome, fun, and relaxing society I’ve been a part of. Getting to try all the culinary adventures you embark on each week was always a pleasantly surprising (and delicious!) experience ahaha. More than that, this society truly helped me get through my first year of uni, thanks to the incredible people who run it. Being part of that this year has been extremely rewarding, and I would absolutely love the opportunity to do it all over again and strive to make it even better.

For the next year, I’ll work to organize even more exciting events and new experiences for us to enjoy—like the café crawl and tackling the giant croissant—while making it the best year yet, filled with the most delicious treats!
