Gastroenterology & Hepatology : Vice Chair

I am running for Gastroenterology and Hepatology Vice Chair because I am passionate about advancing knowledge in these fields and creating more opportunities for our members to engage with both research and clinical practice. Having been involved in genomic biomarker research in gastric cancer and radiomics in HCC imaging, I understand how important it is to stay at the cutting edge of research and innovation in gastro and hep. I want to create a platform where members can get involved in research, connect with experts, and gain practical experience in both gastroenterology and hepatology.

With my background in organizing events and being part of committees (like SORA, Hindu society sposnorship officer, IMCC treasurer and Oncology soc), I want to bring more opportunities for exposure to these specialties—whether it’s through clinical skills workshops, research talks, or networking events with leading clinicians. Research shouldn’t feel like an unattainable goal—it’s about knowing where to look and how to get involved, and I want to help our members see that it’s possible to contribute to impactful projects.

As Vice Chair, I aim to make the Gastro and Hepatology side of the society more interactive and engaging, with more focus on collaborations and partnerships that give members direct access to the clinical and research community. I’m excited to use my skills in leadership and event planning to ensure greater participation, furthering the academic journey of all members and expanding opportunities to engage with both research and clinical practice in gastroenterology and hepatology.
