Bertran Maurelia Peidro

Hey everyone, I’m Bertran, a first year Computing student. I joined the Algorithmic Trading society this year to delve deeper into the world of finance and trading, and have actively attended the Introduction to Algorithmic Trading lectures and events run by the society.

In terms of my experience for the role, I have served as vice president of the student council and president of several clubs in my school. These positions have allowed me to develop my time management skills, communication and leadership skills that are invaluable to successfully manage this role.

As your Secretary, I look forward to increasing the club’s outreach, attracting new members, keeping you well informed, and ensuring that your voices are heard. I also look forward to contributing towards the society's planned projects, such as redeveloping the Algo Course with a stronger focus in programming and mathematics, launching Imperial’s first Quant Conference, inviting more panelists from banks and hedge funds, and more.
