Sign Language: Teaching Officer

Hi I’m Fumnanya and I would love to be your Teaching Officer next year!

I am a second year Medical student, and have completed Level 1 BSL as part of Horizons/I-Explore. I am currently completing Level 2.

I look forward to BSL lessons every week and unfortunately cannot continue with this next year. It would be a great opportunity for me to continue with BSL by joining the SignSoc committee!

I believe I already have many of the skills required to be an amazing Teaching Officer as I am organised, efficient and a team-player. I have developed these skills through my experience in the past year as Events Officer for ACS. Having these skills are also a big part of being a Medical student!

I hope to improve awareness for the D/deaf community and facilitate teaching for BSL in a fun, engaging way!
