Hridima Bhattacharya
Hi, I’m Hridima and I am running for the role of Sanskaar coordinator. My primary focus, if elected, will be to create a welcoming environment that embraces a wide range of aspects of Hinduism.
Firstly, I would like to organise regular temple visits. This would bring everyone together and create a meaningful opportunity for members to engage in rituals and celebrations, while also allowing for spiritual growth and social connection.
One of my aims will be to set up Bhajan sessions and classical dance performances, in which anyone can take part. These initiatives will celebrate our rich cultural heritage while simultaneously providing an opportunity for members to connect, express themselves and actively engage in the community.
Additionally, I would like to organise discussion sessions where members can come together and reflect upon the themes and ideas of Hindu texts, including the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana and Mahabharata. Once again, this is a chance for members to come together and explore some of the deeper ideas within Hindu philosophy and gain valuable insights that can be applied to our own lives.
By being part of the HSoc committee, it would be my pleasure to be part of a team that aims to promote inclusivity and enhance a sense of belonging.
