Pharmacology: Events Manager

Hi everyone, I am Korhan, a first-year Biomedical Engineering student originally from Istanbul, Türkiye and I am thrilled to announce my application for the Events Manager role at the Pharmacology Society. As a Biomedical Engineering student with hands-on experience in pharmaceutical research, sustainability, and healthcare innovation, I am eager to enhance the Pharmacology Society’s events and engagement opportunities. I believe that bringing together academia, industry, and innovation is key to fostering a vibrant and impactful community.

My background in pharmaceutical R&D, biotechnology, and consulting outreach has equipped me with the necessary skills to organize high-impact events that connect students with industry experts, researchers, and professionals in the field. Additionally, my experience in collaborating with NGOs, startups, and corporate partners positions me well to expand our society’s reach and develop exciting new event partnerships.

If elected, I will work towards organizing guest lectures with leading pharmaceutical researchers, networking events with industry professionals, and interactive lab tours to provide students with hands-on exposure to drug development and biotech innovations. I will also focus on career-driven events, such as pharma internship panels, CV workshops, and skill-based sessions, ensuring that members gain valuable insights into future career opportunities.

I am committed to making the Pharmacology Society’s events more dynamic, career-oriented, and inclusive, helping students connect, learn, and thrive in the world of pharmaceuticals.
