Hey everyone! I’m Jaishita and I’m applying for the role of RAG General Committee. I appreciate all that RAG does to fundraise for the Honeypot, Felix, and RBMF, and would love to be part of the committee planning and executing the events that support these charities.
I have previous experience working as part of a group through my time in the organising team of various school events such as MUN and conferences, as well as leadership experience as President of my school’s Mental Health Club and Head of Biology for Science Club. Through these clubs, I worked on fundraising for organisations such as Singapore Mental Health Association. I believe these experiences demonstrate my ability to organise and lead a group of people to successfully pull off large scale events, as well as my passion to help a cause, making me a reliable candidate for the committee.
Over the course of the next year, my vision for RAG would be to make our iconic and well-loved RAG events even more inclusive, allowing people outside of ICSM to attend and contribute to our cause. As a member of RAG currently, I’ve noticed that the events are quite limited to ICSM, so I would work on including specific inter-faculty events that allow us to bridge this gap and build a wider community of students that are eager to make a difference, as this allows us to support our charities better. I hope to get started soon!
