Hi everyone! I’m Alfred from EFDS and I’m excited to run for Head of Events and Marketing at Investment Society.
While our society already hosts incredible events, I believe we can create more intimate, high-impact experiences fostering real connections with lasting value. I want to move beyond surface-level networking and make every event truly engaging for you.
My Plans:
- Exclusive Small-Group Networking – Current panel events have undesirable participant-professional ratios. I empathise deeply with your frustration - trying to speak to guests after events, and the unsettling feeling because you didn’t fully converse with them. So, I want to host more smaller-sized events with professionals to build deeper connections.
- Career-Ready Bootcamp – Financial knowledge can feel overwhelming given how vast it is, but I am dedicated to organising more career-applicable sessions for YOU to be better equipped.
- Tactical Firm Engagements – As I campaign for Head of Events, I will leverage my relationships with recruiters at Barclays and Citadel to organize high-impact networking events and office visits to create valuable opportunities for all of us. I want to boost YOUR application chances with your dream firm.
