Hello, I’m Rong Quan, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Sponsorship Officer for the Energy Society.

With a strong background in corporate outreach and event organisation, I am confident in securing valuable sponsorships that will enhance learning opportunities and industry exposure for our members. Through my role at Advisory Singapore, a non-profit organization, I have actively engaged with industry professionals, successfully coordinating sponsored panel discussions and learning journeys for students. Furthermore, I have experience organising alumni homecoming as Secretary-Treasurer in my high school Math and Science Club. These experiences have honed my ability to connect with professionals and foster long-term relationships.

My goals as Sponsorship Officer include:

• Securing Sponsorships from Leading Energy Firms: Establishing corporate partnerships with renewable energy companies, oil & gas firms, and energy consultancies to provide financial support, mentorship programs, and industry engagement opportunities.
• Expanding Sponsorship Opportunities for Hackathons & Case Competitions: Partnering with green technology startups, climate consultancies, and government agencies to secure sponsorships for energy-themed hackathons and case competitions, where students can develop solutions for energy efficiency and sustainability challenges.
• Enhancing Industry-Sponsored Site Visits & Networking Events: Securing funding for sponsored visits to energy plants, R&D labs, and policy think tanks, giving members real-world exposure to energy production, storage, and grid management.

I am excited to leverage my experience in sponsorship outreach and corporate relations to secure impactful partnerships that will support the Energy Society’s initiatives and provide unique professional opportunities for our members.
