Lennart Kemper
Hello everyone! My name is Lennart, and I’m currently in my first year pursuing a degree in Economics, Finance & Data Science. One of the first things I did when I arrived at Imperial was to join the Finance Society. Even as a fresher, I was welcomed with open arms, and over the past year, the society has truly transformed both my personal and professional life.
On a personal level, FinSoc introduced me to an incredible network of peers and industry professionals who have become mentors and friends. Professionally, the society’s support and guidance throughout my applications helped me secure a summer internship in IB, along with 2 spring weeks, one of which was my absolute dream placement at Point72.
Because of the tremendous support and opportunities I’ve received, I’m eager to give back by focusing on the area I’m most passionate about: Global Markets, particularly hedge funds.
To further enhance our members’ exposure and skill set, I would like to propose:
- Hedge Fund Speaker Series: Invite professionals from leading funds to share insights on market trends, trading strategies, and risk management.
- Case Study Workshops: Organize hands-on sessions where members can practice building hedge-fund-style investment theses, using real data and current market conditions.
- Mentorship Program: Match students with industry mentors who can offer guidance on CVs, interviews, and internship opportunities.
