Hello dear voter! Let me introduce myself: I am Alex, I am studying for a PhD in Physics, and I am running to be next year's Fashion Show Officer here at Imperial.
I am very passionate about fashion in general. Fashion is a beautiful art of expression, and comes in a myriad forms; everyone can find their own style. It is truly incredible how much clothing (or the absence thereof) changes one's life. What you look like is who you are to any stranger.
I believe I am particularly suited for the role of Fashion Show Officer for the following reasons:
1) I am currently Model Officer for this year's fashion show, working closely with the current Fashion Show Officer, thus familiarising me with the role;
2) I have organisational experience in many other societies: I am Musical Director for one of Imperial's A Cappella groups; I lead an Imperial music band; I have led many group projects, both at Imperial and elsewhere;
3) In terms of fashion itself, I have experience modelling: I have done commercial photoshoots and runways. I believe my experience in this industry would be very useful for the role of Fashion Show Officer.
