Hi, I'm Rohan Boyapati, a Year 3 medical student at Imperial College London. I am running for SORA Publicity Officer because of my experience in event promotion and my desire to increase awareness of academic and research opportunities within the society.

My experience in event planning, combined with my exposure to publicity efforts, has shown me the power of well-crafted communication in engaging students. Through my previous roles like Events Officer in various societies, I learned how to effectively highlight the value of academic and research events, which has motivated me to apply this knowledge in a larger, academic context. As Publicity Officer for SORA, I aim to raise awareness of research and academic opportunities and increase engagement with these initiatives.

Plan:

Create eye-catching promotional materials to publicize SORA’s events and research opportunities.
Use social media platforms and other channels to increase visibility for the society’s activities.
Collaborate with the committee to ensure that all research-related events are communicated effectively to students.
