Thanks to QuizSoc, I've rediscovered my love for quizzing, and I’ve loved seeing our community grow over the past two years, which I'm now eager to contribute to as an OCM.

More Quiz Formats

There's something for everyone in quiz—whether it’s high-brow or low-brow. I believe we should introduce a wider variety of formats (e.g. QLL) with different subject distributions to ensure there’s always something for everyone. The recent success of Consensus/REACH shows there's a real appetite for more diverse formats. This gives more people the chance to shine (or, in my case, come dead last in the UK in Film/TV).

Outreach

To offer a quizzing experience that caters to different interests, we need to maintain a strong, engaged membership. While our holiday socials have fostered a sense of community, we must also ensure that our society remains welcoming and accessible to underrepresented groups, especially during Fresher's Week. We should leverage the excitement surrounding UC tryouts to attract new members by organizing more UC-esque activities, easing people into the absolute blast that is quizzing.

Experience

I’ve played quizbowl, written content, moderated, and handled statistics on Yellowfruit in the British and Asian circuits. I’m ready to support the society in event organisation, and creating resources for newcomers, wherever I'm needed.
