Aryan Ganesan

Hi everyone! I’m Aryan, a 2nd year medic running for SORA Social and Networking Secretary. Navigating through the world of academia and research can be very difficult and I would love to play an active role in this society so that I can help demystify it for other students.

As Social Captain for ICSM Badminton, I have gained valuable experience in organising weekly sessions and planning large-scale events. Moreover, it has helped me gained valuable skills such as teamwork, organisation and networking. These skills make me well-suited to fostering a vibrant and collaborative community within SORA.

In my role I promise to organise engaging events that are both interactive and informative, in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where networking is encouraged. Throughout this role, I would make sure to promote the usage of social media and professional platforms such as LinkedIn, which are great ways to network and succeed in becoming an academic or researcher.

My organisational skills, enthusiasm for academic collaboration, and experience in managing social initiatives will allow me to excel in this role. I am committed to making SORA an inclusive and dynamic community where members can expand their networks and develop professionally. I would be honoured to have your support!
