Hello Design Engineering Cohort,

I am applying for the Ideas Lab president position as I believe I have strong technical skills underpinned by my appreciation of the unique space. Now, in my 3rd year at Imperial, I have used the lab countless times for projects over the years and, in doing so, grew to know the space extremely well. I have used most of the machines in the lab at least once and have a great understanding of what it takes to operate and maintain them. In other experience, I also spent last summer working as a test engineer for HEXR helmets, where I gained further expertise in machining, lab safety, and manufacturing methods. From a soft skill perspective, I am always around on level 2 in Dyson to discuss projects and know a large majority of the people in DESeng.
