Ella Soriano
Mabuhay! It’s Ella and Owen here and we are running to be your FilSoc Co-Presidents! We are both currently on committee so you may have seen us around. If not, kamusta!
I’m Ella and I am a second year medical student. My parents are from Nueva Ecija and my mum is from Bicol. I am your current Social Events Coordinator and have experience working on the committee and running events for you all. I have loved it so much and want to give more to FilSoc.
Main Policies:
1. Tagalog Time! - Whether you’re fluent, intermediate, or just starting to learn, we want to have a supportive space where everyone can participate and build confidence in speaking our native tongue!
2. Annual Karaoke - Filipinos sing and we want to make this FilSoc’s flagship event.
3. Potluck! - We can all cook for each other and enjoy a massive meal together :)
Why you should vote for us
- We have craved a Filipino community for the longest time and understand the desire to be closer with your culture.
- This society has made us feel welcome and we can only wish to do the same for freshers and newcomers. We want to share the Filipino joy around Imperial. We are very proud to be Filipinos so why not share it?
