Kamusta everyone!

My name is Marey and I’m a first-year medical biosciences student. Beyond my studies, I’m very passionate about Filipino pride and celebrating our community. To start, a fun fact about me is that I once partied with the famous Filipino artist Beabadoobee and even landed an impromptu feature in The Face magazine!

I’m applying for the secretary role because I believe my approachable nature, empathy, and commitment to making everyone feel included will make me a strong addition to the team. For the past few months, I've enjoyed being an active team member in my course, and I hope to bring these skills to our society. As secretary, I will ensure that all members are heard and well-informed.

I believe that through effective organization, collaboration, and communication, I will be a vital asset to this society.

The Filipino spirit has been so welcoming here, which is why this society has felt like home.

By fostering our strong sense of unity, I’m excited to contribute to Filsoc’s growth, and even expand and spark interest in people of different backgrounds. I want to make Filsoc a place where everyone feels they belong.

I’m eager to work closely with the union and fellow committee members to develop this iconic society. I would love your support and your vote to help keep our spirit alive!
