Ali Ahmad
Hi everyone, I'm Ali, a second year medical student with a keen interest in pursuing Radiology. Radiology is a field where technology intersects with the expert knowledge of anatomy. This allows for continued professional development of skills as technologies like AI and new imaging techniques are developed. The unique blend is what makes Radiology a defining feature of modern medicine.
My experiences help me understand the responsibility and skills a leadership role entails. I've been really lucky to contribute as Islamic Society's Outreach and Welfare Officer. Organising a mentorship scheme, facilitating talks and helping lead the BADG campaign were some of my responsibilities. These gave me valuable skills and taught me how to valuably work with a large team and appreciate the diversity of minds.
My vision for Radiology Society includes being able to integrate a culture of curiosity into our soceity, allowing us to engage with new developments in the field.
I plan to host activities to benefit and support our fellow aspiring Radiologists by:
✅️ National Teaching Series
✅️ Mentorship Programme
✅️ Engaging Talks by Experts in their Fields
✅️ Anatomy Mock
✅️ Other opportunities (like research, posters and conferences) - Develop your skills and experiences, whilst networking with people in the field.
