Anika Sharma

Hi I’m Anika, a first year medic. Having attended many of the events run by Hindu society so far this year, I’ve managed to form such lasting friendships within this community. I’ve felt so welcomed by everyone in this society, and have really appreciated events such as Mastani Ball which allowed me to not only meet new people from Imperial but also from other universities. I will be determined to increase this integration and create a positive environment for all members of Hindu society.

These are some ideas I have if elected for Social Secretary:

• Organise a wide range of events to aim to bring together different cultures and allow everyone to appreciate the diversity of Hindu society
• More social events with other unis, such as joint Janmashtami puja
• Promote Hindu society more within Imperial and other London universities

Overall, I am a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic person who is willing to listen and cater to all of your ideas on making Hindu society a warm and engaging environment for everyone.
