Alice Pemberton
I am excited to be applying for the Equipment Officer role at iPRAS. I have attended numerous plastic surgery workshops myself and can attest that well-maintained, quality equipment is critical to their success. This role is essential to providing members with the highest standard of hands-on experience, and I am committed to making it happen.
Having previously been chair of my secondary school's medical society, I was responsible for organising events, liaising with my committee, and ensuring necessary resources were available. This further increased my ability to coordinate logistics, deal with equipment, and problem-solve in a stressful environment, which are skills that are directly applicable to the Equipment Officer role.
I will ensure that everything is catalogued, well-maintained, and readily available for workshops and conferences if I were to be elected. I will work well with the committee in order to acquire the best material for practical sessions so that members can confidently practice their surgical skills. My attention to detail, organisational ability, and dedication to this society will ensure smooth-running events that enhance the learning process for all.
I would be honoured to serve iPRAS in this capacity and assist it in its continued success.
