Adam Shann

Hi everyone! My name is Adam, I'm a 3rd year medical student, and I'm super excited to put myself forward to be your next Secretary.

My passion for Haematology was sparked during my time on the Haematology firm at Hillingdon Hospital. Here I witnessed the breadth and depth of the specialty, and found myself captivated by the combination of high-level expertise, complex clinical presentations, and the power of modern medicine. This experience completely subverted my opinions of Haem after Yr 1&2, and now I want to share this feeling with our student body and spread awareness of this exciting speciality.

I have been Secretary for Radiology Society for this past year, so I’ve gained invaluable experience in organising & hosting events, supporting the committee, and handling behind-the-scenes tasks to keep everything running smoothly. I also love any reason to make a Qualtrics survey so I’ve gained lots of experience with that too!

My aims as secretary:

• Provide administrative support by:
  • Delivering clear and concise information
  • Coordinating society activities
• Support committee by:
  • Assisting roles where necessary
  • Collaborating to advance society goals and initiatives
• Improve society engagement by:
  • Publishing informative newsletters
