Amogh Ranade

Hi Everyone!!

My name is Amogh Ranade and I am a first year medical student, and am delighted to run for the Events Officer position at HinduSoc!

I'm sure the other candidates are all wonderful for the role, but here's why I believe I am best suited for this role

Having led HinduSoc in my high school, I have the necessary knowledge and skills to plan and organise events, and one key skill I think I possess is being able to delegate the work and improvise on the spot. Even when things are not going according to plan, I am able to stay composed and work with my teammmates to make the best decisions in that situation

I also have great insights into the events that HinduSoc hosts, especially the big 3 that are Garba Diwali and Holi.
I believe in running both a cultural and social event separately for each of these events, so members can feel connected to God and practice their faith, as well as enjoy the cultural aspects of festivals with compromising on either.

Lastly, having experienced HinduSoc events throughout the year, I feel at home with the vibrant and welcoming community here and will be motivated and thrilled to help lead the society and ensure every member feels connected to their culture and have tons of fun!
