Hi everyone!
I'm Alex, a second-year medic, and I am excited to be running for the role of treasurer this year. My interest in respiratory medicine and goals for the services provided by academic societies make me the ideal candidate to manage our society's funds responsibly and transparently. On top of this, my brief stint as a member of the 2025 NURC sub-committee made me want to be more involved in the running of the events put on by RespSoc :)
Some of my goals for next year include:
1. By implementing effective budgeting strategies, I aim to maximise the impact of our funds. This includes prioritising essential activities, minimising unnecessary expenses, and seeking cost-effective solutions.
2. I will ensure that our funds are allocated strategically to support educational activities, guest lectures, workshops, and other initiatives that enhance our members' learning experience.
As Treasurer, I will be dedicated, meticulous, and accountable. I am committed to working closely with the committee to achieve our financial goals and ensure the society's financial health and stability.
