Ukrainian: Chair

Hii everyone! I’m Koel, a first-year Biotech student at Imperial, and I’m excited to run for Chair of the Ukrainian Society! Now, you might be wondering—why is an Indian student running for this role? The answer is simple: I believe that culture, community, and solidarity go beyond borders.

From the moment I got involved with the society, I’ve been inspired by its warmth, resilience, and incredible spirit. Whether it’s organizing events, fostering cultural exchange, or supporting important causes, I want to build on everything that makes this society special.

I’ll work to make the society a welcoming space for everyone, whether you’re Ukrainian, have ties to the culture, or simply want to learn and engage. From cultural festivals to socials and speaker panels, I’ll bring fresh ideas to celebrate Ukrainian heritage while making the society more active and engaging. Strengthening connections with other societies, fundraising for meaningful causes, and ensuring our society continues to be a platform for awareness and advocacy.

At its core, this society is about people, and I’m here to bring passion, energy, and dedication to making it thrive. Let’s make this year one to remember!

Vote for Koel – because culture has no borders, but great leadership makes all the difference!
