Gao Kamalanavin

Hello lovely people, it’s your girl Gao – second-year geologist, professional rock enthusiast, and your friendly neighborhood gremlin lurking in the backrooms of Ravenswall and Westway. I have been an extremely commited member of this club, being in the climbing team and going on various trips since the start of first year, and it's about time to rise up the ranks and be part of this committee:)

I believe that in the climbing community, it is easy for people to be afraid to climb due to different levels, feeling out of place, or fear of not having a good group to climb with, I get it, and that's why I want to run for this role!

What I will do:

- girls and gender focused climbing socials- provide a safe, supportive space for women and all genders to climb together, hype each other up, and feel comfortable crushing it

- events and trips- we will go climb outdoors because plastic holds can get boring booo

- themed climbing events- ever tried bouldering in a dinosaur costume? you might soon...
