Ved Sakhi
Hi everyone!
My name is Vedant, and I’m running to be Early Years Academic Officer for the Respiratory Society!
Respiratory medicine is a field I’m genuinely passionate about, and I would love the opportunity to help younger years build their confidence in this specialty. Our BRS teaching on respiratory was one of my favourite parts of preclinical learning, and I know how important it is to have clear, structured teaching to master the key concepts for CPAs and written exams.
I have experience tutoring in school and mentoring students, which has helped me develop the skills to break down complex topics and support others. I know how valuable it is to have someone to answer questions, explain difficult concepts, and provide reassurance, and I want to be that point of call for early years.
As Academic Officer, I would organise high-yield, engaging teaching sessions tailored to early years students, covering both clinical skills and written knowledge. More than that, I want to be supportive and approachable, ensuring students feel confident in their understanding of respiratory medicine.
If elected, I will work to:
✅ Run structured teaching initiatives focused on respiratory medicine for CPAs and exams.
✅ Provide clear, practical guidance to help early years students feel confident.
✅ Be a supportive and approachable contact for any academic questions.
✅ Make learning respiratory medicine engaging, interactive, and accessible.
I would love the chance to share my passion for respiratory medicine and support early years students. Thank you for reading—I hope to have your support! 😊
