Respiratory Medicine: Academic Officer (Early Years)

I am excited to apply for the role of Early Years Academic Officer as I am passionate about supporting younger students in their learning and helping them gain deeper insight into respiratory medicine.

With my experience as Head of a Subcommittee for Imperial Tamil Society, I have developed strong teamwork and organisational skills, which I will apply to this role. I aim to organise engaging talks and workshops tailored to Year 1 and Year 2 students, inviting medical professionals to share their experiences and career insights.

To support academic learning, I will arrange peer-led tutorials and revision sessions, including CPA preparation sessions, to help students with respiratory topics in BRS. Additionally, I hope to collaborate with other societies to provide enhanced learning opportunities.

To encourage engagement, I will actively use social media, email newsletters, and polls to understand what early-year students need support with. All talks will be recorded to ensure accessibility for everyone.

I am committed to making respiratory medicine exciting and approachable for early-year students and believe my experience, enthusiasm, and organisational abilities make me well-suited for this role.
