Moyin Sina-Atanda

Hi, my name is Moyin and I’m running for conference co-ordinator where I will work closely with the conference co-chairs to ensure the seamless organisation and successful execution of the annual conference.

With strong event coordination, leadership, and time management skills, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to this role.

For the past two years, I have supported the President and Vice President of Imperial College Gospel Choir in running the bi-annual showcases ; overseeing logistics, coordinating teams, and ensuring the smooth execution of these large-scale events. This has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, delegate and problem-solve under pressure—key skills for delivering a successful conference.

My current involvement with organisations such as the GMC and Melanin Medics give me access to an extensive professional network, which I can leverage to secure inspiring speakers, sponsorships, and mentorship opportunities for attendees.

Additionally, as Programmes Manager at Melanin Medics, I’m currently leading the development of a flagship pre-clinical medical student programme and conference, which has helped me build skills in planning, presenting , and working with different stakeholders. I have also recently supported the Melanin Medics Aspiring Medics Conference, allowing me to see firsthand what makes a conference run smoothly and how to create an engaging experience for attendees.

I’m looking forward to getting more involved with the society, particularly the running of the conference and ensuring that it’s as impactful as possible.
