Mahathi Varma

Hey everyone! I’m Mahathi, a third-year medic. I’m excited to run for Sponsorship Officer for the Cardiology Society this year.

With my prior experience as RAG Secretary, I have successfully organised fundraising initiatives, managed relationships with external organisations, and negotiated with Union for events. These skills will be invaluable in ensuring that the Cardiology Society secures strong sponsorships that benefit all members and the society as a whole.

My time as RAG Secretary has given me a deep understanding of sponsorship dynamics, from crafting compelling proposals to negotiating mutually beneficial agreements related to merch. I have sent emails to companies to secure sponsorships for RAG events, demonstrating my ability to find successful sponsors willing to make meaningful donations. Through these efforts, I have honed my skills in communication and organisation, essential qualities for the Sponsorship Officer role.

I am passionate about expanding the opportunities available to members and making the Cardiology Society more financially robust and impactful. With my experience and dedication, I am confident I can deliver strong results in this role.
