Hi everyone!

My name is Vedant, and I’m running to be Sponsorship Officer for the Respiratory Society next year!

Respiratory medicine is a field I find genuinely fascinating, and I would love the opportunity to be part of a society that brings together people with a shared passion for this specialty. From our BRS teaching on respiratory, I was completely drawn in by how intricate and vital the respiratory system is, and it solidified my interest in learning more about the field. Whether it’s understanding complex pathophysiology, advances in respiratory care, or the impact of conditions like COPD and ILD, I find it all incredibly exciting.

Being part of a society that explores cutting-edge research, clinical developments, and career pathways in respiratory medicine is something I’d love to contribute to—and ensuring the society has the funding and resources to grow is where I come in.

If elected, I will work to:
✅ Maintain and strengthen relationships with current sponsors.
✅ Proactively seek out new sponsorship opportunities to expand the society’s reach.
✅ Ensure sponsorship agreements benefit both the society and our partners.
✅ Increase sponsor engagement and visibility across the society’s platforms.

I am genuinely passionate about respiratory medicine, and being part of this society would be an amazing way to further explore this interest alongside like-minded people.
