Ashvin Kumarathas

Hello everyone,

My name is Ashvin Kumarathas, and I am running for President of the ENT Surgery Society to expand educational opportunities, strengthen professional networks, and enhance career development for students interested in ENT surgery. With experience in medical education, society leadership, and event organisation, I am committed to making the society more impactful and accessible.

My aim is to introduce high-quality surgical skills workshops, secure exclusive talks and mentorship from leading ENT surgeons, and create new research and networking opportunities. I will build stronger collaborations with national ENT organisations and other surgical societies, ensuring members benefit from a diverse range of experiences. I also plan to establish structured career guidance to support students in building strong portfolios and navigating the path to ENT training.

Having held leadership roles in medical and surgical societies, I have the experience to drive these initiatives forward. I have successfully organised large-scale academic events, secured key partnerships, and led teaching initiatives that have directly benefited students. My passion for ENT surgery, combined with my strong organisational and networking skills, makes me well-suited to lead the society to new heights.

I am dedicated to making the ENT Surgery Society a hub for excellence, opportunity, and engagement. Vote for me as President, and together we will make these ambitions a reality.
