Alisha Mahmud

Hi, my name is Alisha, and I would love to be your secretary for the upcoming year.

I believe I would be a great fit for this role due to my extensive experience in event management across various societies. For example, as MedEd’s Phase 1a BRS Crash Course Lead, I successfully organized a course for 400 students, coordinating a team of 20 lecturers.

I am incredibly passionate about orthopaedics, having attended all the events hosted by this society. As secretary, I would love to build on these experiences and share them with you. Orthopaedics is a fascinating field that combines surgical expertise with innovative treatments to restore function and improve patients' quality of life.

If elected, I will enhance student engagement by creating a newsletter featuring portfolio-building and networking opportunities. I will actively reach out to leading orthopaedic surgeons, highlight key society events, and provide information on research opportunities—ensuring you stay informed and connected.

Beyond my secretarial duties, I will take an active role in supporting wider society events, helping to grow and strengthen our community.
