Jathumilan Sasikumar
Hello! My name is Jathu, and I am a second-year medical student with a keen interest in orthopaedics. I would be honoured to serve our society as Conference Lead, as I am passionate about providing opportunities for members to expand their knowledge and skills in orthopaedics. During my time at medical school, I have developed strong leadership and organisational skills, which I believe will contribute to the success of the conference.
If elected, I aim to:
- Foster Collaboration and Networking: Create an environment where attendees can exchange ideas, network, and build mentorship relationships that support their professional development.
- Enhance the Conference Experience: Ensure the conference includes interactive workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on sessions, leaving participants with practical knowledge and inspiration.
- Connect Students with Professionals: Organise opportunities for mentorship, career advice, and direct interaction with experienced surgeons and researchers.
- Collaborate with Society Members: Work closely with the other conference lead, the committee, and society members to ensure the conference prioritises the topics and areas that resonate most with our members' interests and passions.
- Involve Cutting-Edge Research: Invite speakers at the forefront of orthopaedic innovation and research, offering members a deeper understanding of current trends and advancements in the field.
As Conference Lead, I will work diligently to ensure the smooth execution of the event and create a well-organised schedule that maximises attendee engagement.
I am genuinely excited about the potential of our society and believe that together, we can build an even stronger community for aspiring orthopaedic professionals.
