Ever since starting university, I have missed my all-girls-school community feel, but after attending my first FemTech conference this year, I have found that feeling again, and it has made me realised that this is a society that I want to be apart from and would love to lead, which is why I want to become the head of the subcommittee.
The conference talks were inspiring, and I felt empowered to just be in the same room as the speakers who have devoted their lives to improving women's health through innovation, so I would love to work behind the scenes helping out where I can to ensure everything goes to plan.
At FemTech, my love of biology is connected to my identity, so being a part of this committee would be my honour. It would give me so much fulfillment from working with a team and, for you, I will do my best to contribute towards running a successful event that will inspire you to create.
I am confident that I will excel at the job because of my previous experience working in the Student Leadership Team during high school. As a result, I have lots of experience working in a team, and can communicate effectively with my team members. I understand the commitment and dedication needed for this role, so please vote for me as head of the subcommittee.
