Neuro: Neurosurgery Lead

Hi, I'm Rohan Boyapati, a Year 3 medical student at Imperial College London. I am running for Neuro Neurosurgery Lead because I am excited to share my passion for neurosurgery and its innovations, including those I’ve observed firsthand.

My exposure to neurosurgery, particularly the opportunity to observe the latest MRI-guided neurosurgical techniques, fueled my interest in this area of medicine. Being granted the opportunity to watch various neurosurgeries, deepened my desire to provide students with greater access to the world of neurosurgery. As Neurosurgery Lead, I aim to create opportunities for students to explore this cutting-edge field through events and networking opportunities with practicing neurosurgeons.

Plan:

Organize workshops and seminars focusing on the latest innovations in neurosurgery.
Invite practicing neurosurgeons to share their knowledge and mentor students interested in the field.
Provide students with opportunities to engage in neurosurgery-related research and clinical placements.
